Nope, that just happened to my friend as well. He got an autosave at this part where a truck was running over him right when he spawned. He eventually had to restart the whole game (he was about 81% done). Moral of the story: always have a back-up save available and definitely do not rely on the autosaves for Far Cry 2 they are too unpredictable.
